Syfy, the network responsible for the TV movie Sharknado, have misunderstood the reason people watched the movie, and have ordered a sequel.

"I was really confused myself," said Mark Stern, president of the cable network.  "I thought it was really going to tank, but people really seemed to enjoy it.  So I whole-heartedly support pursuing a sequel."

Many Twitter users were confused as well, but for different reasons.

Tom Frank (@flannelninja): "This is about as necessary as the Twilight sequels."

Curt Wooten (@pittsburghdad): "Hey @syfy, why another #sharknado? Why not more Mercury Men?"
